Transportation Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Transportation Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our transportation department. The ideal candidate will manage a team of 19 to 20 drivers, ensure safety and security compliances, route structures and development and maintain the highest level of customer service.

DUTIES:

• Responsible for training, recruiting, counseling, coaching, disciplinary action and writing reviews, process and approve payroll, time off requests and exceptions.

• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and transportation laws.

• Monitor and improve transportation efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation performance.

• Manage driver schedules, ensure optimal routing, and load planning.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in transportation or logistics

• Must have a valid non CDL driving license and must be able to pass a DOT physical

• Must be able to pass pre-employment substance abuse screening, background check

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Strong analytical and forecasting skills

• Proficient in using transportation management software, Google apps, and MS Office Suite.
